I made a long-about To Kill a Mockingbird. As part of before reading the book my professor wants to find at least a piece of literary criticism on the book. I tried long time, some critics have found, but I noticed that most of the criticism that the book and find nothing to criticize. Your teacher definitely knows about Sparknotes so if you use that and he/she is a halfway decent teacher, they will notice. Then you could get in trouble for plagiarism.
Maybe the fact that her transition from young Scout to old Scout can sometimes be confusing.
“literary criticism ” doesn’t necessarily have to be negative, it’s usually not. When it comes to great books like Mockingbird there is not a whole lot to be negative about. But if your teacher specified something negative then you may want to look at the fact that the book has been attacked for its portrayal of conflict between children and adults; ungrammatical speech; references to sex, the supernatural, and witchcraft; and unfavorable presentation of blacks – but those are not really attacks on the book but attacks on the nature of art and the culture it represents.
