What type of literary criticism is this?
I found a literary criticism of a story, Flannery O’Connor, “everything that rises must converge.” It is an analysis of the title, if that school of literary criticism that include? Also includes an analysis of historical references and a quote from O’Connor himself.

It couls be New Criticism. New Criticism is the school that generally looks at works of poetry or prose as self-contained entities; that is, they don’t really look at history, context, authorship etc. If the commentary on the title looks at its meaning by itself, or looks at its relevance to the story without considering those other things I just mentioned, that is possible.
Here’s the Wikipedia page for New Criticism:

Hope that helps.
